After school activities
Some of the most popular activities in Dunluce only begin when the normal school day ends! Most Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3.45 - 4.45, the buildings and grounds echo to the sounds of a range of events and organisations.
On days when this is going on, a special bus picks pupils up at the school gate at 5.00 and makes stops at Portrush, Portstewart and Coleraine. This makes it much easier for pupils to take part.
During the autumn term from September to Christmas, Mr. Mitchell ran a GCSE Biology revision class every Wednesday after school. This was very well attended, with 13 out of 24 Double Award Science pupils taking part. Perhaps it was the lure of a free coffee and biscuit that attracted them or maybe it really was the scent of learning! On the last revision session, the pupils were presented with a Certificate of Attendance. It became clear during the course that Mr. Mitchell loved a certain confectionary bar more than even biology, so the class presented him with one to honour their time with him.
