National Award
Congratulations to four of our Year 10 pupils, Erin McPeak, Megan Nelson, Aaron Chambers and Samantha Young, on reaching the national finals of the Young Direct Marketing Awards in London in June.
This was the culmination of a long process supervised by the English department here in school, as the pupils stayed behind once a week to research and prepare a marketing and information pack for the RNLI. Their pack featured an interview with our very own Mr. Mitchell (Deputy Coxwain of Portrush Lifeboat), a brochure, an envelope, postcards and a donation slip. The pupils really enjoyed letting their imaginations loose and their reward was a trip to The Magic Circle Headquarters in London, the venue for the finals.
Dunluce won a silver award, and couldn't hide their delight when their names were called out. Well done to all, and a big thankyou on behalf of the winners to Mrs. McCartney and Mrs. McIlveen for supervising the trip
