Photography Club

The Photography club is one of our new ventures.  It takes place after school on Wednesdays (3:25-4:25) in C11 (Mr Campbell's room)

Over the course of the year we will be learning about photography, improving our photos, practising portrait, close up and landscape photography.

Pupils in the club will get the opportunity to have their photos showcased in the school and on this page.  They will also get the chance to carry out assignments, taking photos of school events for the local press.

There are a range of competitions throughout the year.  These are open to any pupil within the school:

Changing World

The Economic and Social Research Council are challenging young people aged 14-18 to take a picture that shows how the world has changed over the last 50 years or what it could be like in the future - whether it's a place, what they do, who they are with, something they use.

The total prize fund is £2,000

  • six category winners of £100 in vouchers for the photographer and £100 in vouchers for the school.
  • one overall winner will also receive £200 in vouchers for the photographer and £200 in vouchers for the school.
  • The judges will also select their personal favourite with a prize of £50 in vouchers for the photographer and £50 in vouchers for the school.

All winners, their teacher and a parent or guardian will also be invited to an awards event in central London on 13 March 2015.

Full information about the competition, including terms and conditions, can be found at

Competition entries will be featured on this page and winners will recieve a prize voucher.

Photos can be submitted by email to or given to Mr Campbell in person before Fri 23rd January 2014
