Coding Club

A big thank you to Mr James Dempsey, a STEM Ambassador for coming along each Wednesday after school to help run the Coding Club with Mrs H McNeill.

Some of our Year 8 – 11 boys are having great fun experimenting with coding using little devices called Micro-bits.  These measure 4cm x 5cm and are designed to be fun and easy to use.  They can be coded with something simple in seconds – like lighting up its LEDs or displaying a pattern.

The micro-bits have been supplied by the BBC free of charge and this has been one of their most ambitious education initiatives for 30 years.
Further information is available from website where you can find tutorials and resources.

See Mrs McNeill if you are interested in joining.
