Pupils were given the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest digital tech enabling them to widen their career prospects beyond the traditional sectors. This included VR tech, AR apps, Sphero Ball – Coding, Green Screen and Leap Motion.

Pupils participated in team tasks and had to come up with a business plan for the next big digital idea which would meet the needs of a particular target market. Pupils warmly welcomed Mayor Brenda Chivers who was part of the judging panel.

Andrew McCracken, the Digital Ambassador and entrepreneur of GOFYT gave the pupils an insight to his career path so far.

Well done to the winning team Katie Parke, Molly Parke, Hannah Purcell, Ben Smyth, Alanah Trainor and Tom Woodrow who will go forward to the next stage of the competition which will be showcased later on in March.
