Dunluce raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

Dunluce handed over another cheque in assembly  this Friday - this time to Macmillan Cancer Support.  Year 12 pupil, Wesley Gilmore, spoke movingly about what it meant to him - as someone whose family has been touched by cancer - to be able to support Macmillan.

It was Wesley's idea to have a fund raising day earlier in the year.  He chose Macmillan is a charity close to his heart.  "I'm proud to be able to hand over this money.  But I'm not the only one.  My dad would have been proud and thankful for the money we have raised.

Karen Millar also spoke on behalf of the Learning Support Assistants in Dunluce.  Our SEN team held a Pudding Party this month and proceeds were added to the total.

Wesley presented the charity with a cheque for £912 which will be used locally to support cancer sufferers and their families.
