Evan Drops in for Charity

Here Evan Inch, one of our Year 11 pupils, details his brave abseil adventure during which he managed to raise over £1600 for "Friends of the Cancer Center"

"On Sunday 12th May 2019, along with three members of my family, I took part in an abseil at the City Hospital, Belfast. It was a 190ft drop from top to bottom, with an amazing view of the entire city of Belfast. I wanted to take part in this worthwhile charity event to honour the memory of my uncle Robert, who himself managed to raise over £30,000 over a four year period, during his own illness. As you can see from the pictures, I wore a frog suit, as my uncle's nickname was "Bobby Frog". We managed to raise £1,665 for "Friends of the Cancer Centre," which has a wing in Belfast City Hospital dedicated to helping cancer patients. Dunluce School generously donated £300 to our cause and we would like to thank them for this large sum."
