ReadOn is Cancer Fund for Children’s sponsored reading campaign for Primary and Secondary Schools. The Dunluce School Library and our English Department have supported the campaign for quite a few years now - and it has become a permanent fixture in our spring term.

Pupils in year 8 are encouraged to read for fun whilst supporting local children and young people living with cancer. Even some of our teachers get involved.  Each pupil will set themselves a target - a challenge to themselves to read more than they have before.  For some this means that they will try to read three books in a week - for some the challenge will be to read a long novel in that time.  Some may choose to set a target of reading for a certain length of time.

We'd love you to support our year 8's in their challenge.  Ask them about what targets they have set and how they are getting on.; sponsor them and help them raise funds;  and if you are year 8... ReadOn.

This year ReadOn takes place from Tuesday, the 21st February until 28th. We have set an ambitious target of raising £1,000 for this worthwhile cause.  Help us to help others.

UPDATE:  16 Mach 2017:   We are almost halfway to our target.  £456.70 so far.  There's still a long way to go if we are to reach our target - so give generously!
