Year 11 Team Building Workshop run by the Royal Navy

Wednesday morning was ‘all-go’ in the Assembly Hall as a group of year 11 pupils got involved in team building tasks organised by the Nigel Kane and his team from the Royal Navy.

The pupils were set challenging tasks which involved communication, listening and problem solving skills – all very much needed for the world of work.  Nigel not only related the skills to the various jobs available in the Royal Navy but pupils were reminded of the need to be an effective member of a team no matter what career lay ahead of them.  All pupils were given the opportunity to be their team leader and this gave pupils the chance to be in charge of their group which many of them enjoyed.  The whole experience was very worth-while and the pupils hopefully learned tips which would be of use to them in the future.
